Egypt Accelerates Modernization of Cairo–Alexandria Rail Corridor

Egyptian National Railways (ENR) has embarked on a major expansion and modernization of the Cairo–Alexandria rail corridor, one of the country’s most important transportation arteries. The project involves upgrading tracks, stations, and signaling systems to support higher-speed passenger services and increased train frequency.
